National Conference on the Iranian World: Sasanian and Post-Sasanian Periods, Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies, October 7, 2025

The Tissaphernes Archaeological Research Group and the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies, as part of the Iranian World Conference series, will hold the National Conference on the Iranian World: Sasanian and Post-Sasanian Periods on October 7, 2025. This conference aims to examine the transformations of Iran during the Sasanian Empire and the post-Sasanian period. Scholars are invited to submit their research papers on the specified themes to the conference secretariat.

Special Theme of the Conference is the Archaeological and historical studies of the Sasanian and post-Sasanian periods within the geographical and cultural landscape of the coasts and hinterlands of the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Makran Sea.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Abstract Book, which will be available to participants on the day of the event. Additionally, full papers accepted for the conference will be published in the International Journal of Ancient Iran Research, following the event.
Dr. Zhāle Āmuzegar, Dr. Farzāneh Gashtāsb, Dr. Siros Nasrollāhzādeh, Dr. Samrā Azarnoush, Dr. Dālovand, Dr. Shāhin Āryāmanesh, Dr. Rouzbeh Zarrinkoub, and Dr. Mohammad Rahim Shāyegān are among the scientific members of this conference.
The conference will be held at Tamaddon Hall of the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies in Tehran. The event will take place from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
