The Cultural Foundation of Ancient Ērān and Anērān is pleased to announce the first webinar in its international conference series focusing on “Women, Femininity, and Womanhood in Ancient Ērān and Anērān.” This event will take place virtually on Sunday, January 26, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM (Tehran Time).

The webinar features distinguished speakers who will share their insights on various aspects of women’s roles and status in ancient Iran:

• Dr. Sahm-aldin Khazaei, faculty member at Lorestan University, will present on “The Classification and Social Status of Royal Women in the Achaemenid Era.”
• Dr. Yazdan Safaei, a historian of ancient Iran from the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris, will discuss “The Households of Royal Women in the Achaemenid Era.”
• Artemis Keyvan, Ph.D. candidate in ancient Iranian history at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, will analyze “The Representation of Ancient Iranian Women in Hollywood Cinema.”

The session will be moderated by Dr. Esmail Sangari, faculty member at Isfahan University and researcher in ancient languages and civilizations.
