The 5th Zoroastrianism Summer School at SOAS University of London – 2025

The 5th Zoroastrianism Summer School, titled Zoroastrianism in a Global World, will be held from June 30 to July 4, 2025, at SOAS University of London. This program offers a unique opportunity to study one of the world’s oldest religions and its impact on Zoroastrian communities in India, Iran, and the UK.
This summer school is an invaluable opportunity for students interested in anthropology, art history, archaeology, philosophy, religions, language, culture, and history. Participants will have the chance to connect with fellow enthusiasts in Zoroastrian studies and engage with leading scholars in the field.
Attendees will explore Zoroastrian traditions, rituals, and contemporary dynamics, gaining deeper insights into the culture and heritage of Zoroastrian communities. The program is co-organized by the Shapoorji Pallonji Institute of Zoroastrian Studies (SOAS) and the Jordan Center for Persian Studies and Culture at the University of California, Irvine.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be undergraduate or postgraduate students or graduates at the time of the summer school and must be at least 18 years old. The course is particularly suitable for those wishing to earn academic credit toward undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. Therefore, priority will be given to applicants currently enrolled in a degree program.
Bursaries:
Funding of up to £800 is available to assist with travel and accommodation expenses.
