The latest issue of the scholarly journal Iran and the Caucasus has been published by Brill. Edited by Garnik Asatrian in collaboration with Victoria Arakelova, Uwe Bläsing, and Giusto Traina, this journal is among the leading international publications in the field of Iranian, Caucasian, and Iranianate studies.
Iran and the Caucasus is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal, published annually in five issues, and accepts research articles in English, French, and German.
The journal highlights new research on topics such as ancient, medieval, and modern history; Iranian culture and languages; textual studies; ethnography and anthropology; as well as political, social, and religious issues related to Iran and the Caucasus. In addition to research articles, this issue also includes book reviews and critical assessments of recent publications in the field.
The new issue covers a broad range of historical, archaeological, linguistic, anthropological, and cultural studies. It features discussions on topics including administrative structures in the Achaemenid and Seleucid periods, new genetic research on the origins of the Armenians, recent studies on Sasanian art, ethnographic analyses of kinship in Anatolia, linguistic research on Zoroastrian Dari, and reviews of works concerning the modern history of Iran and the Caucasus.
